Three uploads in a day! What's the special occasion? lol. But yeah, this song is pretty interesting. The tone of the song doesn't feel happy, but it's not sad either. Just sounds like a song of "progress", especially the occasional hammering of an instrument in the background, like mallets or a blacksmith's anvil.

I've always been one to be hopeful for the future. When I first rediscovered RWBY as a teen, _years_ after forgetting the existence of the trailer that I had originally seen at the end of Red vs. Blue Season 10, it was the day after Monty Oum passed away. I fell in love with the project he'd left behind and, after getting wrapped up in the thrill of something new, there was the same bittersweet uncertainty for what might be next. There were so many questions and, for a time, no real answers. Would the story continue? Would it even be the same, if it did? While I can firmly say from experience that nothing is the same when its core is shaken so deeply by loss, and RWBY certainly changed a lot, for better or for worse, the fact that this story _did_ continue is one thing that genuinely impresses me to this day. Love or hate it, hopeful for or resentful of it, this story got to be told; more of its chapters unfolded than had once seemed likely, or even possible. And stories are so important. Whether they are deeply flawed or utter masterpieces, they impact us in ways that are often intangible. They give us community, they arouse discussion and reflection, they inspire. They provide a little bit of light, when everything else seems dark. I can't say whether or not RWBY will continue, or how. What I can say is that it did happen. It was told, even if the final chapters remain blank indefinitely. And it did _matter,_ as stories did before it and will after it. Not all stories have a neat and tidy ending. But in a world of so many voices, how wonderful a thing for them to have the chance to be told anyways.

This song gets really dark when you realize the lyrics are Ruby questioning herself and how much loss her decisions have caused, and whether the fighting was worth it.

There isn't many songs that make me tear up but this is one that does and gives me instant goosebumps. Something about the context of the scene along with the music is beautifully done.
